Our core business is to design, manufacture and tryout progressive and transfer dies for the sheet metal stamping industry. Our designers use CADKEY and SOLIDWORKS software to develop die concepts from part drawings or customer-supplied geometry. We utilize Wire EDM and CNC machining equipment to speed the construction of die components and die sets. Our 250 and 500-ton tryout presses allow us to ensure proper die performance in a simulated production mode. In July of 2008, we installed our fourth CNC Machining Center, a 50" x 80" Johnford DMC 2100H. In March 2006, we replaced our existing CMM with a Mitutoyo Crysta-Apex C 7106 which enabvles us to provide state of the art part inspections for our customers. From design through die approval, we have the ability to meet the most demanding of part and die specifications. Our primary customer base is in the automotive, major appliance, electronics, computer, HVAC and office furniture industries. Ledford Engineering also has considerable experience with jigs, fixtures and station dies.
