Ledford Engineering utilizes four CNC machining centers to manufacture die sets and die components. The largest is a Johnford DMC 3000 vertical bridge machine. It has axis's of X- 118", Y- 59" and Z- 31" which is approximately the same size as the bed on our 500-ton tryout press. It has a 60 position tool changer and has greatly increased the speed with which we can machine die sets and other large plates. We use Mastercam software to develop the necessary programs. Specifications on our other machining centers are listed below:
